The Natural Deodorant You Don't Know About

By Shannon Williamson May 16, 2018

I am obsessed with all things natural. Not the buzz word ‘natural’ which, let’s be honest, doesn’t mean much these days. FACT: If a compound exists in nature and a scientist can replicate it synthetically in a lab, then it can be labeled as ‘natural.’ Yikes! But that’s another article!

So, when I stumble upon remedies that ACTUALLY harness the power of nature, I cannot help but share. Enter deodorant.

Unless you live under a rock, you know by now that the aluminum in anti-perspirant deodorants is extremely harmful to the body. A simple search on the internet reveals these dangers. But switching to a natural deodorant (read: aluminum-free) can be a huge transition. You may even need to do a pit detox before you start seeing results.

The natural deodorants most of my friends have had success with are as follows:

·Schmidt’s Naturals: https://schmidtsnaturals.com/

·Native deodorant: https://www.nativecos.com/

·Thieves Dentarome toothpaste (yes, toothpaste): https://www.youngliving.com/en_US/products/thieves-dentarome-ultra-toothpaste

But did you know that a lime wedge works too? IT REALLY DOES!

I posted this hot tip on Facebook and have received several comments back that both lime and lemon are working great. People are both shocked and thrilled! There may be a little wetness (because it is not an anti-perspirant, and sweating is your body’s way of detoxing which we don’t want to prevent!), but there is NO SMELL! And that’s enough for me!

Tips:

·One wedge is all you need for both pits.

·Do NOT apply directly out of the shower while your pores are open.

·Do NOT apply directly after shaving. OUCH!

With summer upon us, you’re going to sweat more. It’s worth exploring chemical-free options to keep you smelling fresh but toxin-free. This gives a twist of lime a whole new meaning!

P.S. If you try it, check back in and tell me how it worked for you!
