Mermaid Hair Spritz

By Shannon Williamson August 22, 2018

Most requested DIY recipe

I love DIY (do-it-yourself) projects! There’s just something so satisfying about gathering the supplies, putting them together, and sitting back with a finished product you did YOURSELF! Even better when you can get your kids involved.

I also love making my own personal care products. To me it’s like cooking: making your own personal care products allow you to know FOR SURE what’s in the bottle. Nothing hidden. No deception.

Enter the Mermaid Hair Spritz. This is BY FAR my most requested DIY recipe because:

·it smells amazing

·promotes incredible hair growth (both in length and thickness)

·makes a fabulous detangler for fine hair

·can be used on beards

·chemical-free and perfectly safe

·can be used by people of all ages (who have hair!)

This spritz includes the three top hair growth support oils: Lavender, Cedarwood, and Rosemary. Geranium essential oil is incredibly nourishing. Be sure to use pure essential oils* always. This is NOT where you want to scrimp on quality.

Also, when at all possible, use a glass bottle as some oils (mainly citrus) will digest plastic (yuck).

Mermaid Hair Spritz

·4oz. glass spray bottle

·30 drops Lavender

·30 drops Cedarwood

·20 drops Rosemary

·10 drops Geranium

·3oz. Witch Hazel (alcohol-free; helps to disperse oils)

Directions:

1.    Add oils to spray bottle first and swirl to combine.

2.    Fill rest of bottle up with witch hazel.

How to use:
• Use wet before drying hair OR
• Spritz on dry hair any time!
