DIY Dishwasher Powder

Finding natural and safe dishwasher detergent is not easy task. Most clean mediocre or leave dishes foggy and glasses cloudy. In addition, they can be way more expensive than the more common, toxic brands.

That’s why I was so excited when I stumbled upon a safe, easy, and affordable recipe that actually WORKS! So here you have my new favorite dishwasher powder. I can’t wait for you to try it!

Ingredients

  • 1 C washing soda
  • 1 C citric acid
  • ½ C sea salt
  • Essential oils

Directions
1. Mix washing soda, citric acid, and salt together.
2. Add 10-20 drops Orange, Lemon, Purification or Thieves essential oil to the mix.

3. Store in glass container.
-----------------------------------
How to use:
Fill up dispenser with powder (around 1.5 TBSP) and run cycle.

Add hydrogen peroxide as a rinsing agent if desired.

Enjoy the smell and peace of mind!

*Note: Not all essential oils are created equal. It is CRITICAL that you use pure oils as most are adultered and filling with ingredients you do not want on your dishes. I highly recommend Young Living essential oils because of their ethical standards and commitment to beyond-organic purity.
