Explore the Olympic Peninsula

The Olympic Peninsula is a beautiful and diverse region in Washington state that offers a range of activities and attractions for families. Here are some of the fun things for families to do on the Olympic Peninsula: 

1. Visit Hurricane Ridge: Hurricane Ridge is a popular destination for families and offers breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains. Take a scenic drive up to the ridge, go for a hike, or simply enjoy a picnic. 

2. Explore the Hoh Rainforest: The Hoh Rainforest is one of the largest temperate rainforests in the United States and is home to a diverse array of plant and animal species. Take a guided tour, go for a hike, or simply admire the beauty of the rainforest from one of the many viewing platforms. 

3. Kayak or paddleboard on Lake Crescent: Lake Crescent is a stunning, crystal-clear lake surrounded by lush forests and towering mountains. Rent a kayak or paddleboard and explore the lake, or simply relax on the shore and enjoy the scenery. 

4. Visit the Point Wilson Lighthouse: The Point Wilson Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located on the Olympic Peninsula and offers stunning views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the surrounding mountains. Climb to the top of the lighthouse and admire the views, or simply explore the nearby trails and beaches. 

5. Visit the Olympic National Park: The Olympic National Park is a vast and diverse wilderness area that offers a range of activities for families,  including hiking, camping, fishing, and wildlife viewing. 

6. Go fishing or crabbing: The Olympic Peninsula is home to a variety of fish and crab species, making it the perfect place for families to go fishing or crabbing. Rent a boat, or simply drop a line from the shore. 

7. Visit the Olympic Game Farm: The Olympic Game Farm is a unique and family-friendly attraction where visitors can see a variety of animals up close, including bison, elk, and a bear! You simply drive thru the course and the animals come right up to your car.
